This website is here to help promote and justify the option of wearing of skirts, by Men.
All over the world, Men can be found in skirts, whether it is called a Kilt,
a Sarong, Sulu, Kikoi, or any other name,
I am not intending to upset our Celtic neighbours,
but in my humble opinion anything that wraps around the body is a form of skirt.
So the word skirt, on this site, refers to any and every garment that wraps around you and has no centre seam.
This is NOT a site about cross dressing !
I don't have a problem with crossdressing. Ladies, if you want to put on some men's jeans, a mans shirt, Doc Martens, and wear boy cut panties with a fly ! Then I support your freedom of choice.
but that is not what this site is about.
This is simply a site for Men who find a skirt comfortable.
When you consider the male anatomy, to have a seam that is trying to cut you in half is madness, plus the trend is for more and more baggy underpants and trousers, so our "dangly bits" get less and less support and more seams to batter and bruise us.
The general view of a man who wears or says he would like to wear a skirt, is suspect to say the least,
Some would see him as being confused about his sexuality, or trying to get in touch with his feminine side.
However, for some reason Ladies who wear mens jeans, sweaters, shirts, hats, or even "boy short panties" are not asked if they are trying to get in touch with their masculine side ! Nor are they accused of cross dressing. Except by me...!
It seems that the constraints placed on "acceptable" male attire are a bit unfair!
I could wear an earring, nipple ring and have rings in other parts of my anatomy that just doesn't bear thinking about!
I can wear all sorts of "Bling" Neck chains or pendants, wrist chains and rings. If I had more hair I could have a pony tail,
Any of these would be perceived as expressing my individuality, or at worst eccentricity.
Put on a skirt!? Well, Have I "turned"?.... Am I wearing a Bra? , My sexuality is called into question!
I hate to admit this, but I remember the '1970's when Guy's were seen in Kaftans etc, flared jeans and flowery shirts.
Sadly the era of the "male peacock" has gone, All we have now is the "grey man" ,
All the images in the slide show have been sent in and are used with the subjects permission, with one exception, and that is the picture of a guy in a utilikilt at Womad, the picture was taken by my brother in law and I would like to know who it is and get their consent,
If you are a bloke in a skirt and look like a bloke in a skirt, rather than a bloke trying to look like a woman, and would like to join the hall of fame or rogues gallery, Please send me your picture including your face.
This site: Over the years that this site has been running, in various formats, I have dropped some of the content, Now we are on Joomla 1.5.15 which seems pretty stable, (until version 6 comes out !) My intention is to repopulate some of the previous content, More links, as I like the way the links can be published,
The news module seems to work, so I shall keep looking for info from the media, good or bad. As for the blog, I will try much harder to talk about my mundane and rustic lifestyle, as lets face it,, Wearing a skirt should be such a minor detail, that it ain't worth mentioning, Sadly, as yet that isn't the case. ,My blog is not intended to be a skirt blog as such, just a blog on a skirt website, All I need to do is write something.!
Another bit of useless info is this site gets between 3000 and 8000 hits a day, Now that is clicks not unique visitors, So I know it isn't a lot, however at least the subject is still being talked about. The traffic increases as the weather warms up.!
